This is one of those 'thrillers' that lives up to it's name. Richard Attenborough plays the Man Upstairs in a suburban house turned into flats, who goes slightly bonkers. The ensuing story is how the neighbours, police and even the fire services cope with a potentially dangerous man.The supporting cast includes typical terrific British character actors including Kenneth Griffith in one of his fussy roles, Alfred Burke, Virginia Maskell, Dorothy Alison, the ever dependable Bernard Lee. All make this into a highly entertaining movie.
