This book was written by a reporter who was originally a total skeptic about the healing ministry of Father Peter Mary Rookey. She found out that miracles happen today, much like they did over 2000 years ago. Father Peter talks to people of all faiths. He used to travel all around the world, but he is in his 90's now, and his superiors have ordered him to stay in Chicago and take phone calls, faxes, and letters. Father is a humble man, and quick to point out that he just says the words and Christ does the healing, if it is His will. But, Father Rookey does more than say the words. He prays multiple rosaries every day, the Chaplet of divine mercy, says mass and spends quite a few hours on the telephone talking to people in need.He also only eats one meal a day, and that is the last meal of the day.
