I purchased two of these for my 60 pound staffordshire bull terrier mixes. They have a typical staffy body, very broad and thick, especially their necks. The 22" length fit both my pups perfectly. When I take their jackets off, both their bodies are quite warm, so it definitely does a great job of keep their body heat in. I also find that the cutout for harnesses is a superior perk of this jacket. My problem is mostly with the price for the quality of the jacket. My pups jump on top of each other a lot while playing, and within the first 10 minutes of wearing their jackets, they both put rips in the fabric. For $50 a jacket, I expect it to be of good quality and able to withstand normal dog activities.I LOVE this jacket. The fit is as if it was made for my dog. I have a 25 lb Parson Russell terrier and finding him jackets for his build is difficult. I ordered him the 20" size. He has a broad chest/thick neck and it can make purchasing the right one difficult. Or is it that every dog jacket manufacturer has a different sizing method? I just wish it would have come zippered because velcro straps on other jackets have worn out too soon. Finding ones with zippers that fit is even more tedious. I ordered the grey and it's very attractive. I'm just hoping the velcro holds up.looks nice though I worry it's not very warm because it's thinner than the picture suggests. Nice fit and true to size though. Also, my dog has a harness with a good, solid D ring to clip the leash. The D ring was a wee bit too short for the harness opening in this vest. I simply cut it a 1/4" with scissors to lengthen it, but FYI.This puffer vest is great. It's really warm, looks just as it does in the picture, and keeps my dog happy, warm and dry. We used it all winter long and it stayed relatively clean (which is difficult with a dog who sheds a lot) and functioned very well. It can be used in rain and snow because of the material.I had previously ordered a 16" for my pug and it was way too small (she is chunky) so I returned and ordered a 20" which is huge! It says that you can't return it once it is out of the package and tried on so I'm stuck with it. How am I supposed to know if it fits when its still in the package? Disappointing because its very cuteOur dog is mostly the color of a deer, So it is great to have an Orange jacket for him. He did not protest at all while wearing this jacket, and I believe it really keeps him warm. We also like the peace sign logos. But the sizing is off... I have to return and get a smaller size. I was replacing a size 16 and bought the 18 becuase my dog got bigger (and older) - I guess like the ladies - this seller wants to flatter - size down...Edit - I looked at the sizing guide on the manufacturer's website, which is far clearer than the sizing guide on Amazon's page, My dog is on the edge of a few measurements, but girth was most important. Will reorder in a size smaller now that I have better information. It was nice and soft, won't accumulate dog hair and will help keep in heat and repel rain.We are a fan of the Fab Dog brand as it is really high quality and stylish. The only negative on this is it does not keep the dog's underside warm, as it is just the velcro (the jacket covers the dog's back and sides, not underneath).Vest looks and feels great. However not really suitable for really cold winter weather because the tummy side is all open. Just 2 straps to hold it together.Wonder if that is the reason they don't post any pics from all sites. Even though I don't want to because it looks really slick it does not work on dogs with short legs to close to the frozen snowy ground. Too bad!Love this vest! Quality is great! Fabric, stitching, Velcro etc.Dog in pictures is a 5 month old 3/4 shih-tzu & 1/4 mini-poodle mix wearing the 8” length black/red vest. His measurement are: Neck 7”, Chest 11”, Length (neck to base of tail) 9.5”. Highly recommended! The 24" length fits our 65lb female German Short-haired Pointer well. The jacket flares out a bit at the back side due the breed's slender body, but I'm willing to live with this. It stays put when she runs around and washes up well. For the price*, you can't really ask for more.*Note: I bought this for $28 in December (sale?) -- it's much higher now. Beware of price fluctuations. Each of my dogs have one of these and they are perfect for cooler days and we later them with sweaters for really Cold days. They wash well and provide good warmth even though they are lightWe've tried many coats before. Although some seem nice and fuzzy inside, our problem is that the fuzzy lining mattes her coat. This coat doesn't because of the smooth lining. somewhat water resistant as well, which is a must where we live. Worth the purchase.
