DESCRIPTION
THE 12TH MAN is a breath-taking war thriller about an incredible true-life story of heroism and a man's unbreakable will to live. Norway, 1943: after a failed anti-Nazi sabotage mission leaves his eleven comrades dead, Norwegian resistance fighter Jan Baalsrud (Thomas Gullestad) finds himself on the run from the Gestapo through the snowbound Arctic reaches of Scandinavia led by Kurt Stage (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). It's a harrowing journey across unforgiving, frozen wilderness that will stretch on for months - and force Jan to take extreme action in order to survive. The legendary story of Jan Baalsrud s escape remains one of the wildest, most unfathomable survival stories of World War II.

This movie is about this epic dude in Norway who basically owns the arctic weather, nazi's, this on point SS leader who is borderline psychotic, but has a really solid fade, like a freaking boss. You will either never complain again about the tough day you had or you will start to filter your complaints. No more... "I'm so cold" when you're wearing shorts inside and the AC is at 68 degrees. No more... "my ( insert name of person ) won't get off my back, I feel like I can't get away from them". Last but not least, this movie will make you feel lazy when you watch the level of pro-social behaviors of the Norwegians. They will straight hike up the side of their version of Mt. Everest in a blizzard to help a stranger, simply to boost morale for their country. Meanwhile, I hike Yosemite with my stacked husband to show him I could trek like a mountain goat without breaking a sweat, and end up losing my two big toenails and a small piece of my dignity (thanks REI boots)Just watch the movie. I think there are subtitles, so I hope you can read. If not, don't worry, the movie was so perfectly filmed that if your audio goes out (because your stacked husband can't carefully remove chords or literally touch anything without damaging it because of his inability to understand he is much stronger than metal, or the captions aren't working because your Smart TV has an exceedingly challenging remote control.Almost forgot. It is a bit lengthy, but worth the 2.5 hours of your life. I once spent 2.5 hours of my life in a line of 5 cars in a McDonalds drive thru because employees decided to protest their managers attitude and leave, so you can imagine the patty load the manager had to deal with. If I can do that, and I have ZERO patience, you can sit through this movie. That is all.
