I am amazed at how well this coat fit my dog! I matched my dog's dimensions with the size chart and went with a size that didn't constrict his neck or chest (sized up to meet both these specific demensions). So even though my dog is more of a medium to large usually (atheletic built; 22 lbs), he was an XL for this coat. This coat is well made and sturdy. I can foresee this being a durable coat purchase but of course, time will tell. I don't mind the zipper on top which made it easy to get him to step into the coat and put it on while he was on my lap. It is not too thick or thin, reminds me of the thickness of some standard/ typical human vest jackets. It should keep my dog warm and I like how his chest is fully covered and not just partially covered with a velcro wrap around strap. The harness has adjustable straps (amazing!) and I'm just in love with how it fits him and its functionality. (Misc: if you need something for walking your fur kid specifically in the rain, maybe consider a raincoat. This coat will protect somewhat, but may not be the clothing of choice for outdoor activity in the rain/ a downpour. This is good for cold weather without the need of a hood.)I have 2 of these and the one was outgrown so I needed the same one only in one size bigger. I am so pleased with the sizing which was correct and the quality is what I already had. I tried ordering a cheaper one from another company on Amazon and was very disappointed. It’s been a few years since I ordered the ones I have so didn’t remember which ones I ordered. So glad I found this one, it’s perfect.We previously purchased 3X for our smaller-than-average girl greyhound. The coat is rather short, ending about 6" short of the base of her tail but we used it for a year. So this year we ordered 4X. The one that came said 4X on the label but was 3" shorter than the 3X !! We thought that must be a label mistake, so sent it back and ordered a 4X replacement. Again a 4X label but still it is 3" shorter than the original 3X, so it's going back again and we'll order a different brand.Our greyhound is 25" from shoulder blades to base of tailOur 3X coat measures 25" down the back but the back fits about 5" up the dog's neck from the shoulder blades.The 4X coat measures only 22" down the back.How can 4X be three inches shorter than 3X?Why did we reorder the same brand again? Because other than the small size it is well made, warm and snuggly, easy-to-clean outer material with a good harness. The zipper down the back makes it a good secure fit, better than the wrap-around belted sort that tend to slip sideways. In all, it's a really nice coat but useless for dogs longer than about 20" from shoulder blades to base of tail.So sorry. Lovely if only it would fit. Otherwise five stars.PerfectOverall, easy to use and the material is great as it has a slightly water repellent aspect to its outer shell. However, the zipper will begin to slip during any strenuous activity and the straps will continually loosen. For a rambunctious puppy, it’s not worth the constant adjustments. For an older or more docile animal, this could work great.Bought an XXL for my 30 pound border collie and it just fit. A little snug around her chest. I tightened the straps all the way so although a bigger size would have been good I fear the straps would have been too long on a bigger size. Also the straps when adjusted do not stay in place and I had to keep tightening them on the hike. I did really like the elastic around the openings for her legs and around her middle. I think the snow will have a hard time getting in underneath the coat.We got this Pup Pup coat For our puppy Pablo and it was so cute seems to be pretty warm I would recommend this for all dog ownersThis is a great winter jacket for a dog, however the sizing chart provided in the ad's image area is very off. I had ordered size XXL, for which the chest girth according to the chart said 24.4". My 18 lb medium-sized schnauzer-poodle mix pup's chest girth measured 19.5", so I thought this jacket would give her a little bit of extra room in case she grew a tiny bit more. To my surprise, the XXL size was so tight on her that I could not do up the zipper on the top. I did check the tag inside the jacket, and it did say XXL. Very unfortunate because this is the style of jacket that I wanted. I wanted one with a built-in harness because my pup is still not to be trusted 100% on a leash with collar alone. Plus it just makes things a lot quicker if the harness is built in to the jacket! The harness in this type of jacket is built in quite well and I feel that it is more stable than some of the jackets that just have a clip with a hole on either side of the zipper for you to put the leash through. The red color is quite pretty, bright, good visibility.I bought a small and a medium size. I wasn't sure what size would fit best for my Morkie.I'm sending back the small. I thought I would go to the post office and return it.No charge, Not the case.goes back by Purolator and they'll return my money MINUS $6.95 for return post. I am so upsetabout this. The item is $24 and I have to pay $7 to return it. I would never order from thiscompany again, So much for customer service/satisfaction.As most mentioned the fit runs small. I measured by Morkie and according to the chart it would have been a large that he needed however after reading the reviews I decided to order the x-large and it fits without any room to spare.My Morkie is big for his breed at 14.5 lbs.I have a chihuahua/papillon, and my fur baby is a yr old, 11 lbs. I ordered this jacket in large, and it fits my Archie wonderfully. The fleese inside is awesome. This jacket was made very well. I love the idea of the built in harness.I’m very happy with my purchase, at first I was going to buy a small because my puppy is only 5lbs but after following the measurements I decided to take a medium and it was a good choice. It fit her perfectly and she can grow a little into it. For the price I can’t complain, hopefully it lasts.
