It’s heresy, I know, to say less than glowing things about Ian Fleming, but I found this book to be a bit boring and the dialogue to be rather lacking. It is of course mildly racist and misogynist from the perspective of 2023 too. Mostly, though, I just found the plot to be uninteresting. Perhaps it’s been used too many times in the last 60 years because it sold books for Fleming.
