As with all of Palmer's books she is stuck in a the 1970's and that is ok if you are aware of that and read her books for what they are. I happen to get a chuckle out of them and enjoy a good leap back in time every now and then. Her writing style has stayed the same through her entire career, so if you liked her books in the beginning you will like them now. Enjoy it for what it is a Diana Palmer book.
