since a few years ago that I heard 4 of the tracks of this CD on a Philips compilation, I had been going crazy looking for this record. Estes is my all times favorite baritone, his voice is very strong, if you hear the version of Babra Streisand's "People" you will be amazed. I'm not a big fan of baritons, but Robert Merrill & this guy have all to be the best, I don't know why there's no more recordings of this guy. the director of the orchestra in the record is black also. so it seems like Estes was not favorite for no known director of his time. I have the Colin Davis, Samson et Dalilah, with Baltsa, Carreras & Estes, also some highlights of Porgy & Bess, & I don't know any other recordings by him. but is a voice that calls my attention every time I hear it. I missed on this CD when it first went out but after I heard his voice, I was like crazy looking for this recording, maybe since the year 2000. is not opera, is broadway songs , but his renditions are all flawless & he can even extend notes. love this record & if you like baritone voices, this is a record for you
