Unless you lived through the breakout of the AIDS epidemic, I don’t think you could truly understand it. I’m grateful I got through it because I know I might have been careless at times. And I know I lost close friends to the disease. The 2 scenes I found profoundly touching were when Tim was in the kitchen with his Mom discussing that he may have passed HIV to John. He said “I may have killed the man I love” and the scene where Tim is on stage performing a live scene and see’s John in the audience and flubs his line by saying “I want you back John” I believe he knew then of his deep love for John and wanted to get back together after a brief separation. So sad these two are buried in separate cemeteries in Australia. I wish the families came together and buried them alongside each other. Or nowadays you can request to be buried one casket on top of the other. Put them together for eternity.
