The ZMAN worm is made of a more elasticy material that makes it near impossible to break...or even cut. It's softer than most plastics and for this reason, when a bass bites it, they just don't seem to let it go as much as other worms. Love the action by the saw tail and have caught dozens of fish on them in a short time. Had to buy some after my tournament partner whipped me using the ZMAN while I used my normal "go to" brand and color. There are some problems with the worm though. Even though it's tough, you will find that the head slides down the hook much easier. May have to peg it or like my partner, buy the hooks that hold the worm head differently than just running over the typical offset hook. The other limitation is the lack of colors. Most fisherman have their niche' color and it's unlikely you'll find yours in their limited selection. I found one I like...but it certainly isn't the color I really prefer. Still, great worm because when a fish bites it, for some reason, they hold on even when they are spitting out other worms.
