I am an avid Bat for Lashes fan. I have loved several of her songs, but not any of the albums. Qualifying that statement: the songs I liked, I really liked. After listening to the albums several times, I just found myself skipping most of the other songs. Either the flow was wrong or the song didn't speak to me in the context of the songs I really liked on that particular album (Two Suns or Fur & Gold).Fast forward to Haunted Man. I had the opportunity thanks to NPR to hear the whole album before the release date and WOW! I couldn't get enough of it. I just kept hitting replay. Could be I was just jonesing for some new Bat for Lashes, but after really listening to the album, I believe this album is just put together better and is more dynamic than the other two albums. If you haven't listened to a whole album recently, I invite everyone to give this one a listen; especially if you are already a fan of Bat for Lashes.Cohesive album with great slow and upbeat songs with Natasha Khan's truly amazing vocals and distinctive sound. If you like Shiny Toy Guns new album "III" in its entirety, here is another CD or complete album to add to the playlist. You won't be disappointed.
