this is a sleeper of a story, it has the same kind of adventure that stars wars is famous for. the read keeps you on your toes all the time with twists and turns and dead ends etc. I will admit the story is a bit slow in places but these places give you the background that is needed to understand and befriend the characters. I have read a great number of great novels in my time of 60 yrs, but I consider this the best book I have read yet. Many of you may not agree with me. but if you thought the book was boring or slow than you are not reading it correctly. This book is like a fine wine that needs to be savored, reread, contemplated, and understood for what it is, an epic space opera. You cannot help but like the characters and realise their flaws, strengths, background, and everything that makes a character believable. I will go so far and say this would make a great movie. I was that impressed.Hope you feel the same. joe
