I couldn't seem to put it down, after reading this book you will appreciate your family more than ever.But the book it self will have your heart beating faster and have you thinking what will happen next.Believe me if you try and guess what is going to happen next you will be WRONG!Without giving away the ending I can tell you, you won't see it coming.If this author has another another book please send me a link so I can buy it.This was a very original story like none I've read before. I have to admit that some parts had been totally confused. The author had so many twists and turns that I didn't know where the story was going. It's a very thrilling, mysterious detective story with supernatural/superhero elements. The storyline is very interesting, compelling, and unable to crack! Every guess I made in attempts to figure out the story was wrong. There are several twists in the plot that keep you on your toes as a reader, and only add to the enjoyment of reading the novel. The characters are well developed and complex. Truly an original novel, very refreshing to read something so interesting. Couldn't recommend it more. The gritty noir feel and supernatural elements blended well to make a compelling detective story that I couldn't put down. The characters were well developed and the world Karbin develops is rich and full of possibilities, yet firmly grounded and relatable. With twists and turns that kept me guessing right until the end, this is one you won't want to miss.Haunting, gripping, mesmerizing are just a few words that come to mind to describe "Man is a disaster " I really had to fight myself not to read it in one sitting. Mitch Karbin does it, he baits you with the prologue and then he reels you in and doesn't release you until the final written word of the epilogue..The only negative comment I have is that it had to end!!! Bravo my friend, a great read.Mitchell Karbin's first book is fast-paced and keeps you guessing. I loved his writing technique that propelled you through the book at a fast pace. It reminded me of Catcher in the Rye, in the head of someone I don't understand, but I want to keep reading to find out what makes him tick...and what's going to happen next.Really liked this book. I'm a fan of Silence of The Lambs and Sin City and this was similar. It has elements of noir and of a superhero story. It's a quick read and it's fun.
