To be sure, there are Bruce Lee tributes and documentaries with better acting, and which are more factual. But it's really hard to compete with this one, when it comes to the martial arts sequences, and that one main point ...Bruce Li (Ho Chung-Tao) absolutely shines in this film, not just with his amazing Kung Fu, but acting as well. Just oozing with confidence, he totally becomes Bruce Lee.The script sort of approximates Lee's life and career, clearly emphasizing one often-reported legend: that everywhere Bruce went, fighters wanted to challenge him! The subplot begins with the showdown in San Francisco Chinatown, maybe a bit downplayed. But from there, it gets more and more intense (and creative). As the icon of Kung Fu, Bruce is first challenged by authorities from Japanese Karate, then Thai boxing, in 2 very symbolic showdowns. The latter was based on the filming of "Bog Boss". The Karate showdown is most certainly inspired by "Way of the Dragon", with more to come from that one ...The script continues with the same focus: everyone wanting a piece of Lee. The next major showdown features martial arts legend Chiu Chi-Ling. Bruce tries to downplay the significance of the fight, but it turns out to be first class. The final showdown is awesome and really quite creative. Again drawing from the dynamic of "Way of the Dragon", it's almost like a continuation of that script, also filmed in the Roman Coliseum!Highly recommended for new and dedicated Bruce Lee fans alike.
