This is an author I have read and reread for many, many years. Beautifully written and thoughtful stories that are not quick, feel-good stories so much as thought provoking and honest. She is not for anyone who just wants something quick and easy to read to while away an afternoon. But I cannot imagine that most anyone would not be better for finishing any one of her books and processing the story she tells. I would recommend this book to just about anyone and would tell anyone to pick this or any of her books to read. Just give her books the time to hook you and you’ll be picking up another before you know it.
