This coat is lightweight and seems very warm. My greyhound is pretty sensitive to clothing and doesn’t mind wearing it. She is 27 inches long and has a 29 inch chest. She weighs 62 lbs but her racing weight was 55 lbs. Because of these measurements we selected the XL size. While it is perfect for her in terms of length it does not quite hit the end of her chest. The tape around her belly actually fits fine but there is not much room should her stomach extend too much further. She is on the thinner side for retired greyhounds so this may be the reason why this coat worked well for her and not for others. Overall we will be using the coat and layering with a sweater when it is extra cold outside to protect the exposed areas.I almost never write reviews, but I am so pleased with this coat I wanted to share. While my dog is not actually a greyhound, he has long legs, body, and neck, and I knew an ordinary coat wouldn’t fit right. He also HATES getting wet. He makes a face like the Wicked Witch of the West when she’s melting. Today it was pouring, so I tried the coat out for the first time.The coat is pretty light weight, so it might not be great for the dead of winter if your dog is very skinny. I may opt for a heavier coat as well. However, the outer layer IS waterproof—nothing leaked through—which was most important to me. The inner lining is nice and soft, but thin—the whole coat is like a light weight waterproof, wind breaker.PROS- Really, actually waterproof- Fits long, slender dogs (perfectly in my case)- Light weight for autumn- Does not interfere with his “business” even though the strap is positioned very close to that area. (I was particularly worried about having to wash it constantly.)- Doesn’t slide around- Doesn’t break the bankCONS- Doesn’t work with a lot of harnesses. The only leash slit is at the collar, and only works if you attach the leash directly to your dog’s collar. My harness has attachments on the top, between the shoulders and in front, at the chest, which is what I use. Luckily, my leash attaches low enough that it doesn't interfere with the fit. I also might try putting the harness over the coat.All in all, for the price, I am very pleased!Likes: lightweight, perfectly warm enough for my dog. The size was perfect as well.Dislikes: There is a slit that is for the collar ring to come through, it's way to small. I use a Martingale collar that has a large ring. When walking my dog, it ends up pushing her coat back in a weird way.All in all, I'm very happy with the coat.Unsure yet if it will keep my pup dry in the rain.Easy to put on a 10 month old Whippet. Washable & warm.I love this for my saluki! Everytime I look outside and see him with this jacket on during the colder months, I feel satisfied knowing he's warm and content.When the weather gets cold, in the past, we offer for him to go in the basement. Most always he would accept the offer of the weather was below 50 degrees. But now, when he's wearing this jacket, it doesn't often accept the offer to go in the basement, because he's just fine outside.I am so pleased with this product! My dog loves it and I feel good that I'm caring for him during the colder months.The only jacket I could find that would fit a long and thin dog. Super soft inside and waterproof on the outside. I like that it covers her from neck to tail and still fits snugly around her mid section.A xxx-large worked well for my 75 pound dog. I could have gone a size lower. I don't think it's thick enough for snow, but it works well for rain. It's a water resistant cover that has some fur in the lining. It's very adjustable and best of all easy to put on.This blanket is perfect for my dog. She's a very playful puppy and this kept her warm while also allowing her to moveA good fit for my large greyhound. Lightweight and perfect for the milder autumn days. Waterproof and a snuggly lining.Fitted very small despite following fitting instructions. Quality feels cheap and some of stitching has already come undoneDer Mantel hat ein schön warmes Futter. Dazu ist leider der Halsausschnitt etwas zu luftig und man sollte einen Loop zur Verfügung haben. Außerdem ist er an den Oberschenkeln zu knapp geschnitten. Er ist nur etwas für wirklich schlanke Hunde. Fazit: 5 Sterne hätte ich gegeben , wenn der Schnitt dem warmen Futter angepasst worden wäre.Jacke lässt sich gut taillieren gegen Anpinkeln. Teddyfutter ist warm. Kaputze wäre gut, da Kopf immer noch nass wird.
