If you enjoy Christopher Walken's performances, and are interesting in reading an autobiography of him, as I am, I think you will be very disappointed in this book. I certainly was. This is not a cohesive book about Walken's life or even his movies, but rather set up much like a dictionary, with a little information following each word, phrase, or title. For example he book lists "knives" as a topic, then informs us that Walken collected them as a child. If you find that bit fascinating you will probably enjoy the book. I did not. The author tells all the plots of the movies, but not enough about the man himself. It is not a totally bad book, hence the two stars. It is a fast read, and does give a bit of information about Walken's life--it is just not very good, in my opinion. Not bad it was sort of dealing with most of his movies, I'd like to know more about the man. All in all it is not a bad book.different format.Christopher is an unsual person. he has the abilitty to make you laugh and he can scare the living hell out of you, and then he can play GOD himself all this he does effortlessly. You can't help but like the dude as a person. He appear to be genuine no nonsense kind of a peron..I was hoping to hear more about him. but then I'm not finish with the book.To judge this book is a flawed exercise. It is a series of facts about Christopher Walken and should be regarded as a sacred text beyond judgmentWell, it'll do if you only need a somewhat non-personal overview of a pretty beloved eccentric type guy! It would be a bit more on course it there were more of a personal input from Mr. Walken. Oh there are a few quotes from him here & there, and of course, lots of outside observances of his supposed likes/dislikes. It's OK as far as an alphabetized movie listing. And it has its moments. I think it could be a lot more on target with the in put of very close friends and loving family.I absolutly love Christopher Walken and this book was a great find for me. My favorite movie is True Romance and his roll in that maybe short, but it was priceles! Anyways this is a good book to have if you are one of those people like like to know a little about everything as well as walken fans alike. MORE COW BELL! Thanks again for the book. I love it!What a character! I thought this was a biography type book when I bought it at my wife's request (she's a bigger Walken fan than I am), but it's not. More an encyclopedic A-Z reference than a read-through, it is still very entertaining and well-written.I enjoyed learning all the obscure trivia and recommend it. It is a little on the small side, but the man more than makes up for it!Enjoy!I knew going in this wasn't a bio on Walken and for the few bucks I paid it's worth it. Mostly just odds and ends things that pertain to Walken set up in alphabetical order. Makes for a quick read as it's not very long. I'll get his bio later when the price goes down. I liked the book though and will keep it for my collection.Very informative and fun, shows Christopher Walken at his best and his worst..although there is no worse. This book is about his movies not about his life ...excellent shapeI just love Christopher Walken. The guy is multi talented. Great actor, both on stage and screen, great dancer. I recently listened to him host the Leonard Lopate Show, and he's a pretty good interviewer as well. This book is for anyone who wants to know about Christopher Walken. It's not a biography, but it is a good source of information. I recommend it.Another Christopher Walken book for my Sons Birthday and he was 'Over the moon' with it. It arrived in good time for his Birthday. What a gem of a book! Bursting to the rafters with info about the legend and his films; great to get to know how he ticks. I love referring to this book.Hair raising. Scary... very scary. No, actually very interesting portrait of one of best actors of our times.Entertaining reference work
