DESCRIPTION
On a cold night in a remote cabin, Professor John Oldman (David Lee Smith of CSI: Miami) gathers his most trusted colleagues for an extraordinary announcement: He is an immortal who has migrated through 140 centuries of evolution and must now move on. Is Oldman truly Cro-Magnon or simply insane? Now one man will force these scientists and scholars to confront their own notions of history, religion and humanity, all leading to a final revelation that may shatter their world forever. John Billingsley (Star Trek: Enterprise), William Katt (The Greatest American Hero), Ellen Crawford (ER), Richard Riehle (Office Space) and Tony Todd (Candyman) co-star in this provocative final work by Jerome Bixby (Fantastic Voyage, Twilight Zone: The Movie, Star Trek), renowned as one of the greatest science-fiction authors of all time.

When I accidentally found this movie I thought it would be something about reincarnations. My wife and I are experienced metaphysical travelers, and we jump on about anything having such aspect. I also write primarily reviews of such kinds of movies. We both agreed that this is one of the best. After about a third of it being a little bit boring it started to have steam. The discussions are just fascinating and when I told my wife that I felt it was also about me she fully agreed. The best movies are when they mirror us. And we look for mirrors as Stanislaw Lem wrote. Most of the people on this planet believe mainly in the stuff created by millennia of conditioning by religious and other organizations, simply said what they were told by others. Anything extraordinary needs to be judged, disregarded and dismantled. Never mind what and how much is behind any extraordinary claim. That is why protagonist John is changing places where he lives and works not to face that. Then he gets the opportunity to issue such a claim to a group of friends during a party celebrating his move to another place. What he claims I cannot tell you and spoil your chance to enjoy it. And the end is also stunning, no spoiler here either. As one of his challenging friends says in the movie, John cannot prove what he is saying, but the same guy remarks that they cannot prove that what he is saying are lies. Can people like John exist and walk among us? Perhaps, but probably not. But is it possible? Hell yes! I saw myself in John's shoes. Like he in the movie, I also published extraordinary stories. And like him I would also say that my books are just stories when I would want to escape such judgmental and biased questioning leading nowhere. I am on this planet much longer than him always in the same body, I used reincarnations and many bodies. I was imagining myself being judged and questioned like him. Like him I could face any questioning about anything regarding metaphysical reality. Do I want it now? No. Did I have wishful thinking about having bestsellers? Yes, I did, until I fully started to understand that spiritual knowledge and internal freedom are much more important to me. John was threatened that he could be taken to a mental hospital. It could happen to me as well in this physical reality. Thank you very much. See this treasure of American cinema with open mind, please.
