Despite the overly colorful language, I was amazed at the depth of detail the author used. I could see, smell, and hear what he described, especially with his main character. The book was a quick read, leaving me wanting more. I definitely wanted to find out how the story would have ended. This seemed like just the beginning of a very good novel.I hope that J.J. Mortensen will continue his writing, as his talent is blossoming.
