This item is sturdy and will last for a long time. Unfortunately, the clip on one side is sewn on in the wrong direction, resulting in the harness always being twisted. The person who walked our elder dog on a regular basis (not me) finally told me when I noticed the twisted straps. It was rubbing on her little body and creating discomfort. Frustrating! Unfortunately, we're way too late to return it. In the picture, this is the way the buckle and rings are sewn when the straps would be flat - obviously this wouldn't work! Sad, because it's otherwise a quality product. I sew, but can't cut this and repair so that it would still fit our dog. Lesson learned: check out the full function of the product before you turn it over to someone else.
