So many movies out of France are really great--comedies, thrillers--type French movies into the search box, or Jean Reno, Gad Elmaleh, Francois Cluzet, Alice Taglioni, Patrick Bruel... This a another one they really should re-make for the U.S.;(so long as they don't get too silly): the CEO of an auto company has a weak relationship with his college-age daughter; after a stroke he only requires speech therapy (not physical rehab), so it pulls mild comedy in that; but it makes him unable to return to his high profile position. Winds up with a dog, hiking, great ending. In his case (or perhaps where there is universal heath care) he isn't financially devastated by job loss, but people may relate to his journey anyway.
