I would say that Robert Stroud has many faces, according to this book. I wasn't sure if I was ready to read about the dark sideof Stroud....but I read the book in three days, and learned a lot of info the movie and Gaddis's book hadn't touched on.If you want to maintain the imagine that Stroud was a saint, then do not read this book...however, if you are eager to learn moreabout the man, then buy this book. Very informative.Oh yeah, when Stroud was transferred to Alcatraz, all of his birds were left behind in Leavenworth.....
