Just finding out now, about Victor Peraino, who was an American musician - in Author Brown's Kingdom Come and leaving after the band's final lp, 'Journey'. Notably, 'No Man's Land' was initially pressed in a limited quantity of a 100 copies - which (obviously) would explain it's rarity status. I've said it before and I'll say it again - the Italian label Black Widow Records ~sure~ puts out some fine pieces of music and this title is certainly no exception. Here, we get the album's original eight songs + a four-song EP 'Were Next' from 1981. Tracks that more than made an impression on me were "Empires Of Steel", the beautifully-played laid-back "Lady Of The Morning", "Run Through Your Life", "At Last A Crew" (sort of maybe reminded me of like an undiscovered Dave Brock solo tune and his remake of his former band's hit "Fire". Line-up: Peraino - mellotron, synthesizer, moog, Hammond B-3 organ & lead vocals, David Christian - guitar, Herman Daldin - bass, Jon Marc Laflotte - flute, steel guitar & vocals and David Wild - bass. 'No Man's Land' looks to be Peraino's only CD release. A should-have.
