I like this thrower it seems durable , it comes with 1 ball that is really bouncy (more so than a tennis ball )The fingers on this are a little long ? or stiff . not sure but it is kinda hard to throw the ball sometimes because the fingers really hold the ball well it tends to make you slam the ball on the ground sometimes instead of hurling it out , hopefully these will loosen up a bit with use , It takes a little getting used to .It will take regular tennis balls but it really holds them tight , I think the included ball is a tad smaller and works better with the thrower . I just grab the tennis ball by the tips of the fingers instead of inserting the ball all the way in the finger basket and it solves the slamming on the ground problem and flings it goodAll in all I do recomend this , the handle is sturdy enough to pick up balls off the ground while fighting off a energetic German Shepard , and it telescopes for extra reach ! Once you get the hang of throwing it and its a short curve you and your pups will have a ball with this ! pun intended !It's larger than I was hoping. I wanted something I could carrying without needing a backpack. But, unlike the other ball thrower I was using - the entire stick actually fits into the backpack without half of it sticking out the top - which is why I give it 4 stars and not 3 for not being completely backpack free.It takes some getting used to if you are used to using the curved throwers since this one is straight. You may throw the ball either very far, bounce it hard in front of you, or very high up in the air until you get the hang of how to throw using a straight stick.Otherwise my other ball thrower has been put in the car for use on trips etc, and this one is now my daily use stick. Seems sturdy and like it won't break easily.This thing is bigger than it looks in the product photo. I thought it would be pocket sized, but you're probably gonna need a bag. It won't fit into a cargo pants pocket. On the plus side, the expansion mechanism seems pretty sturdy. Unlike other collapsible throwers, I can't see this thing coming apart with a throw.Also, the ball it comes with is slightly smaller than a regulation tennis ball, but check it out: you can still pick up regular balls. Just don't push the ball all the way down into the prongs, or else it'll take some elbow-straining force to fling out again. If I had to do this again I would probably get one of those regular Chuck-it things.This thing is great! I love not having to touch a spitty bal!!!!! I can throw it further then if by hand too! It's very sturdy and easy to use. I bought the one from Hyper-Dog first I love it till the handle broke off ;-/ Ya , I didn't like that at all, I could still throw the ball without the handle but it just didn't feel the same in my hand. This is a great gift too for a dog lover, everyone who hates dog spit should have one!Perfect size and generally more durable than a typical tennis ball. Not as bouncy as I expected but my dog still loves these!I like that it can be 2 different lengths by an easy adjustment but I think it is a bit too heavy and the claws hold on tight to the ball so it took me a few tries to perfect it. I compare it to the plastic one that I have been using.This product works well but feels like it is made of cheap materials and I suspect it may break. I would prefer recommend a single piece thrower.Works great and really saves the shoulder from being overworked. Our pup loves fetching the ball and when he drops the ball on the return you can pick it up with the thrower instead of bending over.it worked perfectly for about a month then fell to bitsOver priced for what it is, normal tennis balls are to tight a fit to throw with any success and the ball supplied with it didn't last very long.Very good ball throwergoodBisher von mir benutzte Ballschleudern hatten für mich zwei Schwächen: 1. Sie waren lang und damit etwas unhandlich, auch sperrig. 2. Beim Schleudervorgang von Bällen waren sie gut, biegsam und stabil, wenn der Schleuderdruck in Vorwärtsbewegung entstand. Leider haben sie kaum Druck vertragen, wenn er seitlich ausgeübt wurde und dann zerbrachen sie. Das passierte, wenn sie unglücklich verstaut waren, wenn jemand aus Versehen auf die eben hingelegte Schleuder trat oder unser Junghund im unbewachten Moment darauf herumkaute.Diese Schleuder hat bisher ALLES ausgehalten. Sie ist wirklich sehr stabil und handlich!Lieber etwas mehr bezahlen, als unnötigen Müll zu produzieren.
