Overall, I am pleased with the dog house! Panels come pre-assembled - with mostly pre-drilled holes for all included hardware. Easy to put together & becomes sturdier as each piece is attached. Only steps that I’d recommend a helper is for the roof.My only con is the overall quality of the dog house, each panel feels a bit flimsy. It may be a problem for those with larger dogs - but my small dog shouldn’t cause any damage.I highly recommend lightly sanding every panel before assembly; there were some rough edges & sections, but a light sanding will do the trick.All in all, pretty good dog house. I have mine under my porch so it will not be exposed to the elements - so I cannot speak for how rain/direct sun will affect it; but I am hoping for a long lasting dog house!I added a picture with my dogs for size. I got the large and it fits two medium dogs. The house is beautiful but it came chipped. One piece that was broken was a major piece that I had to super glue to assemble the house. Another piece was chipped too but it was more cosmetic than anything. Also assembly was not easy. We had to redrill many of the holes as well as add holes for the roof. It took multiple people to put together. I was lucky a friend of mine had a drill or I would not have been able to assemble it. Otherwise it’s a pretty house for the price. Lightweight and easy to move. I love that the lid holds open on its own.I like how easy it was to put together. Everything came pre-assembled. It has some imperfections but that is to be expected with wood. My wife personalized the dog house for our puppy. Overall it was a good buy.I got this for my German Shepherd puppy. I got the large and at the moment it fits him well, and still room for him to grow. It seems very sturdy at this moment. It was not very easy for me to put together by myself. Lucky my daughter was home and was able to lend a hand. It isn't very light weight either. The roof is very heavy so there for, I by myself can't just pick up and move it. I do like the adjustable legs on the bottom of it for our yard isn't very flat...just wish it could go shorter on the legs. I do like the window on it for it helps air flow and he needs that in the summer, I also enjoy the idea of the cover for the window and flaps for winter. We haven't had winter yet so I don't know how well they work yet. All and all my puppy loves it, it keeps him dry and that's all that matters on my end.I love this dog house! It’s so cute & very easy to assemble. Make sure to get this dog house from this company though. I got something similar before getting this one with a different company & a lot of the pieces were broken because they didn’t package it right. This company packaged it nicely & came in beautiful. Now if you have a dog that bites put something on the wood that they don’t like so they don’t chew on it. Also the flaps in the entry will not stay long. My dog tore those off with the first 15 minutes unfortunately. But I love this dog house!Really love the look. Pretty easy to assemble,just struggled getting the top on but got it done. One crack in the wood on the side but not noticeable enough to bother returning... I would recommendNo defective parts and easy to put together. I do agree that it is not as sturdy as others have claimed but if I get a few years out of this I will be satisfied. Next one I will build myself. Delivery was quick and ahead of time. I have an indoor dog when I am home but she's outside when I am at work. Supposed to rain today so we will see how it performs soon. BTW - the word "insulated" should not be in the description. If you want insulated, you will have to add that yourself at your cost and labor.I bought this for my duck pen. They lay there eggs nicely in this. So far, it’s great.
