Yeah, sure, it's a little glitchy even on the Wii, and it is not an open world game like most Spider-Man games, but the game is just so much fun. I agree that there is a little learning curve with getting the moves figured out on the Wii controller, but I think you can access enough possible moves right away that you figure out. It's just that you have a lot of options. Even when you are swinging on a web there are two different buttons you can push to handle that in different ways. Some Wii games have a little bit more button redundancy so it's not this complicated, but a few moves can be done with more than one combination like when the classic Spider-man grabs a random piece of rock from the ground and spins it around for a power move. All that said, this game has the exact same linear gameplay as in the game Ultimate Alliance, with the same amount of interaction with the scenery. For most of the game this is true, except a few unique segments like the punch-out style variation in the boss battles. All that said, yes, this is a fun game you will not regret buying. It looks, sounds, and plays fantastically. However, as far as superhero games on the Wii go, this game does not hold a candle to Lego Batman 2. The Lego series of games started with a fantastic flow to the gameplay, with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter all seeing sequels, but Batman 2 widens the open-world experience so it's almost like Mario Kart meets Grand Theft Auto. I am 47 and I play it with my 6yo son and we are both just nuts for this game. We got this one first and every Lego game we got after it has been great, but not topping Lego Batman 2. I say that knowing that it too is a glitchy game that can freeze on you, but it's fully fun enough to tolerate that. This Spider-man game has an original look and feel, but when you peel back the veneer, the gameplay has a standard linear narrative with the expected amount of twists to keep things interesting. If you get a good deal on this, then it's worth it. I just don't think Shattered Dimension is worth the 80 dollar price I have seen on it lately. To me, it is more fun to drive a lego batmobile reclessly through gotham as coins fly out of everything you smash. When it comes to Wii games, the ones that are simply silly fun are always the most timeless.
